If your course offers placements through Queensland Health, you will be required to complete Queensland Health’s orientation procedure prior to your placement. Step by step information is available on the Queensland Health website at https://www.health.qld.gov.au/employment/clinical-placement/students/australian/prepare.

All requirements below must be documented in the Student orientation checklist. You must also ensure you take your training certificate records and your QH Evidence Record with you to any QLD Health orientation that occurs and on your first day of placement. You may be sent home from placement if you are unable to present these documents.

Requirements are as follow:

Part 1 - Training Modules (register for an iLearn account here)

Step 1: Complete the QLD Health Learning Modules on iLearn (as relevant to your discipline);
Step 2: Complete the the mandatory reading;

Part 1a) – Allied Health only

Step 1a: Complete the QLD Health Learning Modules external to iLearn (as relevant to your discipline);
Step 2a: Complete and upload to the UQ Placement Management System (InPlace) a copy of the Evidence record of allied health student training;

Part 2

Step 1: Complete and upload to the UQ Placement Management System (InPlace) a copy of the QLD Health Student Orientation Checklist;
Step 2: Complete and upload to the UQ Placement Management System (InPlace) a copy of the Student Deed Poll.
