This project is aimed at determining how cognitive processes and brain functions develop as adolescents mature into adulthood.

We are looking for healthy teenagers aged 13 – 19 years to take part in two testing sessions. The first session will involve completing computerised tasks and questionnaires. The second session will involve participants having an MRI brain scan. The total testing duration will be approximately 3.5-hours.

Participants under the age of 17 years will be required to obtain parental consent and be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Eligibility

  • Teenagers aged between 13 and 19 years
  • English as a first language
  • Have normal or corrected to normal vision (e.g., glasses or contact lenses are fine)
  • Have normal hearing
  • Have no diagnosed intellectual, neurological, learning, attentional or mental health conditions.
  • Be safe to undergo MRI (this will be verified before being enrolled in the study)

Participant benefits

All participants will be reimbursed at a rate of $20 per hour for their time.
