The effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and understanding health literacy in adults with Type 2 Diabetes

UQ researchers are looking for adults with Type 2 Diabetes.

This study is a combined, approximately 20-minute online questionnaire targeting adults with Type 2 Diabetes to answer two questions: how the COVID-19 pandemic is affecting them and their ability to manage their diabetes, and what their understanding is of the risks of dementia associated with having diabetes.

Participants will answer questions sharing their experiences of the pandemic, as well as have their knowledge of dementia risk factors and prevention tested.

Participant benefits:

No direct benefits are associated with participation, however responses will help the research team to understand the effects of the pandemic on this at-risk population, as well as inform interventions targeted at reducing dementia risk in adults with Type 2 Diabetes.

Eligibility:

Participants must:

  1. Have a Type 2 Diabetes diagnosis from a doctor
  2. Be over the age of 18 years
