This study aims to work with people from diverse communities to understand access and use of hearing services and develop strategies to make hearing services more responsive to the needs of these communities.

UQ researchers are looking for people to take part in an interview about their experiences with hearing services. Interviews can be done online or at a place convenient to you and will take approximately 1 hour. Interpreters will be available if required.


You are eligible for this study if you are all of the following:

  • A permanent resident or citizen in Australia.
  • You or your parents belong to these communities: Mandarin, Arabic, Vietnamese, CantonesePunjabi, Greek, Afghan, Somali.
  • You have hearing difficulties, or you have a family member with hearing difficulties.
