This study aims to comprehensively profile lower limb strength and movement characteristics in young people with non-traumatic anterior knee pain, compared to healthy individuals.

Findings of the study will help inform future treatment strategies in people with anterior knee pain.

Participation in the study will involve:

  • Attending a one-off appointment where you will be assessed on your balance when you stand still, jump and move, the strength of muscles around your hip, knee and ankle, and how much your ankle moves.
  • Completion of an online survey about your knee and your sports participation.

People aged 18-25 years old with non-traumatic anterior knee pain (knee cap pain) are currently sought for the study.

Exclusion criteria:

  • History of knee surgery.
  • Have other lower limb condition or other health problems that causes limitation to normal activity.
