Welcome Session and Academic Advising for new-to-UQ international psychology students

This is a compulsory welcome and information session for all new international students commencing in the Bachelor of Psychology Science (Honours) or studies in Psychology in the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, and dual programs (e.g., BA/BSc).

We will have fun ‘getting to know you activities’, and the school’s Academic Integrity Officer will run a Best Study Practices workshop.

Staff will be available to help you design study plans, provide advice on how to apply for credit, if applicable, and to address any questions you may have about studying at UQ or living in Brisbane.

We look forward to meeting you.

About HaBS Orientation

Orientation Week (O-Week) is a program of social and academic activities designed to introduce students to life and study at UQ. O-Week is generally held the week before classes to help students settle into UQ life before the academic year begins.

O-Week offers social events, sporting activities and study and support programs to help familiarise students with their campus, help them meet people and feel prepared for the year ahead. More importantly it is about feeling connected and comfortable with your university and having fun!

Be sure to register for your essential events, including your Program Orientation Sessions to ensure you have all the right information and tools you need to succeed in your program.
