10 September 2021

Associate Professor Vanessa Cobham from UQ's School of Psychology spoke to 7 News about the new free to access Fear-Less Triple P program helping Queensland children with anxiety.

She said the prevalence of anxiety disorders in kids and adolescents has doubled, at the least, during the pandemic.

"This is a program that's been specifically developed to help parents support their children in developing strategies for managing anxiety

"There are six really interactive modules and they include videos, activities as well as a downloadable workbook that parents are able to access."

Aimed at parents of children aged 6-14 it includes how to respond to children when they are anxious and how to teach them how to manage anxiety and become emotionally resilient.
