Aphasia therapy adapted for zoom

25 November 2021

UQ School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences PhD candidate Genevieve Vuong's Three-Minute Thesis presentation was broadcasted on ABC Radio National’s, The Science Show.

UQ researchers have developed intensive therapy for people with aphasia, the chronic language impairment often caused by stroke.

The therapy is delivered over 8 weeks.

This is problematic for people who don’t live close to a therapist.

In her Three-Minute Thesis presentation, Genevieve Vuong describes her work adapting aphasia therapy sessions over zoom for people who can’t easily access a therapist.
