Welcome to the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work

What is it like to be a Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) student? This session will provide an essential introduction to your program and courses including enrolment and field placement advice. You will have the opportunity to meet your course coordinators and fellow new students, raise any questions you may have about life at university, and most importantly, gain tips on how to get the most out of your time at our school while undertaking your Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) degree.

About HMBS Orientation

Orientation Week (O-Week) is a program of social and academic activities designed to introduce students to life and study at UQ.

In addition to your program orientation session, be sure to also register for a faculty orientation session, to ensure you have all the right information and tools you need to succeed at UQ. It will also be a great opportunity to meet some like-minded students from throughout Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences, and understand how the faculty can support you in your journey.

Click on your preferred faculty Orientation session below for full event details and a registration link (both sessions below will deliver the same content);
