Keynote speakers

Professor Trevor Russell, Physiotherapy, School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, The University of Queensland

Trevor Russell is a Professor in the Division of Physiotherapy within the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Queensland. He has a PhD in Telerehabilitation and co-directs the Centre for Research in Telerehabilitation at the University of Queensland. His primary research focus surrounds the use of mobile technologies and telecommunication tools for both clinical service provision and teaching and learning in the rehabilitation sciences.

 

Professor Michael Nicholas, Pain Management Research Institute, University of Sydney

Professor Nicholas is the Director of the Education and ADAPT Pain Management Program at the Pain Management Research Institute, University of Sydney. He combines research and clinical pain practice, especially multidisciplinary applications of psychology.

Professor Jenny Fleming, Occupational Therapy, School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, The University of Queensland

Professor Fleming is an occupational therapist and researcher in the field of brain injury rehabilitation. Her PhD completed in 1996 was on the topic of the development of self-awareness following traumatic brain injury. She has continued to pursue collaborative research on role of metacognitive factors in brain injury rehabilitation.

About RECOVER Forum 2018

Innovation in Rehabilitation Forum attendees can expect a premier educational event with feature presentations by international leaders in the fields of pain management and brain injury rehabilitation.

RECOVER researchers will conduct a series of presentations summarising their most recent research, complemented by a number of workshops designed to demonstrate innovative interventions and technologies that health professionals might use to assist their clients in their recovery, rehabilitation or adaptation following injury.
