Join us for an evening of relaxed conversation and connection with like-minded individuals. Enjoy complimentary soft drinks and table snacks as you meet and mingle. To help spark interesting discussions, table cards with conversation prompts will be provided. This event is perfect for mature-age students looking to connect with others in a relaxed and friendly environment.

A ‘mature-age student’ is someone who has not recently graduated from high school. You may have taken a gap year, studied at TAFE, or are looking to change or advance your career. Typically, this means students who are over 21 years of age at the beginning of their undergraduate studies, or over 25 years of age at the beginning of their postgraduate studies.

About HaBS Orientation

Orientation Week (O-Week) is a program of social and academic activities designed to introduce students to life and study at UQ. O-Week is generally held the week before classes to help students settle into UQ life before the academic year begins.

O-Week offers social events, sporting activities and study and support programs to help familiarise students with their campus, help them meet people and feel prepared for the year ahead. More importantly it is about feeling connected and comfortable with your university and having fun!

Be sure to register for your essential events, including your Program Orientation Sessions to ensure you have all the right information and tools you need to succeed in your program.
