Course details

Who is it for?

This short course is designed for health professionals looking to develop their clinical telehealth skillset and administrators seeking to establish telehealth capabilities within clinical practice.  

There are no prerequisites needed to enrol in this short course.  

Skills and learning outcomes

By the end of this short course, you’ll have advanced your knowledge of telehealth for clinical practice. You’ll be able to:  

  • effectively apply your clinical expertise in a telehealth setting 
  • understand the diverse technologies used to deliver telehealth care 
  • develop and implement telehealth modes of service delivery 
  • understand telehealth service evaluation principles and introductory insights on health economics.

Workload and assessment

The workload for this short course is 40 hours. At the end of each module, you'll complete a formal assessment online to verify your learning. To successfully complete the short course, you must pass each module.

Learning experience

In this online, self-paced short course, you'll undertake guided and self-directed learning, enabling you to implement your new knowledge within your practice. 

Each module is made up of several individual topics, which consists of text, video presentations, additional readings, resources, and student activities. There's also a section where you can check your understanding of the content by answering multiple-choice questions. 

Each topic has been written to be stand-alone, with its own learning objectives. So, the platform allows you to navigate through the course content in a way that makes sense to you.  

Once you’ve completed the assessment for each module the next module’s assessment will be available to complete.  

Certificate

Once you've successfully completed this shorter form credential, you can showcase your capabilities with a university certified digital certificate/badge that verifies your skills and achievements.
