PhD students from the Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences (HaBS) will compete in the Faculty Final of the Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) Competition on Thursday, 3 August.
Students will present their thesis and its significance in dynamic and informative presentations of three minutes in length. The event will showcase the diverse research conducted within the Faculty, including research in the fields of psychology and behavioural science; nursing and midwifery; human movement; nutrition; pharmaceutical science; social work; youth substance abuse, and health and rehabilitation sciences.
All academic and professional staff, and students (undergraduate, postgraduate and research) are welcome to attend.
The winner will progress to the UQ 3MT® Final hosted by the UQ Graduate School on Wednesday, 13 September at Customs House in the Brisbane CBD, and a chance to win a lucrative research travel grant and $1,000 from UQ Alumni and Friends Association. Morning tea will be served while the judges finalise scores and decide on the winner, runner-up and people's choice awardees.
