This online talk will showcase some of the finest local Queensland athletes, from Queensland Race Walking Club, Queensland Masters Athletics and parkrun!

Professor Brenda Gannon, University of Queensland, who has researched ageing, physical activity and health care use, will talk with athletes about their lifestyle, training, nutrition, coaching and volunteering. Their influence is broad, also coaching children from age 8 upwards, and adults into their 80’s and 90’s! Their achievements are outstanding!

Athletes include:

  • Internationally competitive racewalkers
  • Australian and Queensland Masters Champions
  • Queensland Record Holders
  • World Medallist
  • World Masters Association volunteers.
