What if I don't meet the requirements?
You will be required to undertake placements as part of your program.
Bear in mind that a placement provider may impose mandatory requirements upon students who propose to undertake a placement with them. These might include (but are not limited to) demonstrating proof of having received a particular vaccination or of having obtained a relevant clearance for working with children, for example.
If you are unable or unwilling to meet a mandatory requirement imposed by a placement provider, UQ will take reasonable steps to explore alternative placement options for you. However, it may be that in some circumstances, no appropriate alternative provider can be found. If, after making reasonable enquiries, UQ does not find an alternative provider, you will not be able to progress in your program unless and until you meet the requirements of an appropriate placement provider. In such circumstances, you will only be able to proceed if you decide, or become able, to comply with a mandatory requirement imposed by a placement provider, or a placement provider indicates that the condition imposed is no longer mandatory. It is important that you understand this prior to making decisions about your enrolment.
In respect of mandatory vaccination requirements currently imposed by placement providers, you should pay close attention to the Student Immunisation Evidence Request that will be emailed to you.
