Researchers are developing a motor assessment tool for autistic children with high support needs (with a diagnosis of level 3 autism).

They are currently recruiting children aged 3-18 with a diagnosis of level 3 autism, and their caregiver, to participate in two sessions that will last 1 hour. During the sessions, your child will be assisted to complete motor skills such as throwing, kicking, jumping, running and balancing. You, as the caregiver, will be asked to completed a short survey.

The sessions will take place at the University of Queensland in St Lucia during January and February of 2025. Only one child will participate at a time and you will be provided free car parking close to the testing room

Eligibility 

  • Autistic children with high support needs (with a diagnosis of level 3 autism)
  • Caregivers of autistic children with high support needs

Participant benefits 

Child participants and caregiver participants will each receive a $25 electronic Prezzee gift card.
