Investigating Responses to Conflict in Relationships
Study is now closed.
This online study is investigating how people respond to conflict within a friend's romantic relationship and how those responses may be perceived.
In this study participants will verbally respond to pre-recorded audio clips that simulate a conversation with a friend.
Participiants will be required to submit nine video recordings in total. However, only the audio from recordings is required, and it's encouraged to cover the webcam for the duration of this study.
Some people may find the content of the simulated conversation upsetting, and participants are welcome to cease participation at any time by closing the survey.
The audio from the recordings submitted will be used in a follow up study where a different group of Australian participants will listen to them. Recordings will be deidentified and treated as confidential. Any images from the video, or any other responses provided will not be shared with any other participants.
After participants finish responding to the simulated conversation, they will be asked to complete a short survey about your verbal responses. This study usually takes between 10 - 20 minutes to complete.
Eligibility
Participants must be at least 18 years of age and fluent in English. Participants must also have access to a computer or mobile device that can play and record video and audio.
