University of Queensland researchers are recruiting children aged 3 to 4 in Brisbane to participate in a study looking at the link between physical activity with development in young children.

We will collect data on two occasions, 10 weeks apart. Children will be given and an activity monitor to take home and wear for one week to measure how active they are. They will also be asked to completed a standardized motor skill assessment (running, jumping, and balancing), and cognitive assessment (memory, inhibition).

Data collection will occur at one of two locations, The University of Queensland St Lucia Campus or the KidsHeartPilates studio in Ashgrove. Whichever is more convenient for you. Each session takes about 30 minutes to complete.

  2. Your child attends childcare at least 2 days each week.
