Investigation of physiological signals in detecting stress using wearable devices
University of Queensland researchers are seeking volunteers to participate in a study exploring how the body responds to stress using wearable sensors.
What is the purpose of this study?
The purpose of this study is to assess stress levels by monitoring various physiological parameters such as heart rate, skin temperature, and skin conductance, which indicates changes in sweat gland activity. This monitoring is facilitated through wearable sensor technology, such as smartwatches.
What is involved:
Participate in a digital math task and a public speaking activity while we record your physiological signals using two wearable sensors.
The process will take approximately 1-1.5 hours.
Eligibility:
Age 18 or older
No history of cardiovascular illness
No diagnosed psychological conditions
Fluent in English
No math phobia
As an acknowledgment of participation and thanks, you will receive a $30 gift card.
