This study investigates why Australian mothers breastfeed for varying durations and how it affects their children's health including oral health, especially if continued beyond 20 months.

It also explores mothers' beliefs about breastfeeding advice and its impact on children's teeth, considering factors like culture, lifestyle, finances, social connections, and support networks.

Participants will be asked to take part in a onetime, face to face or online interview or focus group with the investigators. The whole process will take around 45-90 minutes of participants' time.

Eligibility

Mothers living in Australia who have breastfed their child/children for more than 20 months of age and the breastfed child is less than 5 years of age.

Participant benefits

$50 gift voucher and an oral care product
