About this research 

Researchers are conducting a study to understand how psychological and social factors of non-traumatic knee pain are experienced by adolescents, aged 12–18 years.

They would like to hear directly from adolescents about your experience and management of your knee pain.

Who can participate

You are eligible to participate if you:

  • are aged 12–18 years
  • are currently enrolled in high school (Year 7–12)
  • have had non-traumatic knee pain for at least 6 months

What's involved 

You will be asked to:

  • complete a short survey
  • participate in an in-person interview at The University of Queensland, St Lucia (approximately 30 minutes)
  • undergo a physical assessment of their knee with a Registered Physiotherapist

Benefits of participating

You will receive a free physiotherapy assessment of their knee and a $20 gift card for their time. Parking at The University of Queensland will be provided free of charge.
