UQ researchers are seeking adult volunteers, aged 18 years or older to participate in a study exploring estimating the distance between a subject and the camera in face photographs.

Participation will take approximately 1.5 hours. The study involves coming to the University of Queensland (St Lucia Campus) to be involved in 3D scanning, photography and filming. Participants will be instructed to face specific directions and make specific facial expressions during photography. Note, flash photography will be used in this study.

Eligibility

To be eligible to participate in this research, volunteers must be 18 years of age or older. 

Participant benefits

Participants will receive a nominal reimbursement of AUD $60 for your time. Additionally, if you choose to, you can receive copies of your 3D face scans, if you bring a USB.
